FIELD NOTES / CATEGORY

Developer Guides.

Build a useful read-only interface without hiding its dependencies. Explore public API design, safe rendering, amount precision, cache freshness, and error handling. This section explains the architecture of the supplied static browser and the limits of a third-party data source.

Make failure states part of the design.

A browser’s loading label, cache timestamp, and unavailable-data message are just as important as its success table. Treat URL parameters and API responses as untrusted data. Preserve exact units, avoid embedding credentials, and never fill unsupported fields with zeros to make the interface look complete.
